Not too long ago, I went on a bicycle ride and got my second scrape in two months, just being stupid really. But unlike the first time, that was more surface scrape, this one cut a tad deepish. Not enough to be dangerous or need stitches, but enough to bleed black and a tad more flowing than you’d normally see.
This tiny packet of Quikclot worked fast. ridiculously fast.
Surprisingly, I didn’t get infected, and a week of anti-bacterial may have done the trick in preventing any problems.
If you bike or hike, bring a couple of these along with some gauze and by and large, most slightly deep cuts and scrapes should be handled just fine as long as you work fast.
If it wasn’t so darned expensive, I’d own a ton of these.
